It gave way to a light snowfall, which, though we were still saturated, wasn’t too bad. Mercifully the rain finally stopped as we reached the bottom of the hill. Were it not so cloudy, I felt certain we’d have been able to see Solitude from up there. Still astonished by their lack of imagination – I mean, seriously, who sees a poorly-laid trap surrounded by the bodies of its masterminds, then decides to try it for themselves? – we continued on down the hill. Lydia had dealt with the archer higher up the hill, and as I turned to whizz off towards the last bandit, she finished him off with an arrow. They might have thought themselves to have a chance, outnumbering me as they did, but they didn’t anticipate my mysterious skills, Meridia’s perfect blade, or these dragon powers I’ve got now!

You’re going to need more than numbers to outnumber me! Still shocked by my sudden burst of speed, I was able to spin around and relieve a second of his head before the first body had even hit the floor. I saved them the trip, and performed a Whirlwind Sprint right into their midst, using the surprise to cut one of them down immediately. They burst out of their ‘hiding’ places as we approached, running towards us with weapons in hand. It seemed as though some more bandits had stumbled upon the place and decided that their deceased predecessors were on to something. Halfway down the hill we came upon the chest on a cart in the middle of the road, which some bandits had tried to use as bait in a trap the last time I passed by. I could deal with it from behind, as I was no longer blind.

Lydia wasn’t happy about it, but we left Rorikstead for Solitude as soon as possible, dragon rain be damned.Īt least as the road curved around to the right just outside of the village, cutting between some cliffs and past an isolated house, the rain was no longer being hurled directly into our faces. “Come rain or shine” was my promise to the Old Gods, however. Just as torrential as yesterday, if not more so! What in Oblivion did that dragon do to the sky?! Sky, I just hate you. Which was a good thing, actually, as it was still raining. After all that rain yesterday, I should’ve had enough water to last a lifetime, yet there I was, craving some more. I woke up rather thirsty this morning, which I thought was funny.
